Culture Care Connect

Acknowledging the devastating and disproportionate impact of suicide and mental health challenges affecting our communities, the Culture Care Connect: Community controlled suicide prevention network, is an important step toward significantly reducing and sustaining the reduction of the impact of suicidal thoughts and behaviours of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

The Culture Care Connect Program will empower and support communities to be suicide safer through the development of holistic, supportive, and preventative initiatives. The Pilbara Engagement Story  shows how, through extensive community consultation and true codesign the Pilbara CCC Coordinator, worked collaboratively with our ACCHO partners and mainstream providers to develop a Regional Network Suicide Prevention Plan  and a regional Aftercare Model of Care.
